Remembering September 11, 2001

Today marks a day that will stay in our memory's forever. I can only hope that my children never have to experience something so horrible as the images of the Twin Towers on September 11 2001.

I can only imagine what my grandparents had gone through when the images of the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 were in the newspapers.

Not only must we remember these two very important events that bring us back to the reality of knowing all the things that we take advantage of can be in a instance taken away and change the way that we live our lives.

Our freedom is so precious and yet everyday we take advantage of the one thing that every human being on the planet wishes it could have.

Today I will remember what happened on that day and I thank every single solder that is giving their lives for the freedom that we have and to the ones that continue to risk their lives for the people In Iraq and Afghanistan. A very special thanks to a high school friend of mine that has gone to Iraq twice and continues to serve in the marines and to his family that have gone for months with out seeing him while he was on tour in Iraq both times.

I have so much pride about this country and it really is so important not only to remember, but to share with our children so that they will continue to remember.
