Gumball Machine Gift Delivery

We have just added three gumball machines to the website that include Peanut M&Ms, Plain M&Ms and Jelly Beans. These are actual metal gumball machines that are coin operated. They are available for delivery in Orange County same day delivery.

We have just started to add our new gift line to the website. Four new items where added part of our games sections. It includes 500 Chip Poker Set, 300 Chip Poker Set, Classic Wooden Chess Set and my favorite the Magnetic Chess and Backgammon Set.

Christmas Flower Arrangements

Our Christmas Flower Arrangemenets have been added to our website. This year we have brought back some or our more successful designs from prior years and added some of our new ones for this years Holidays Arrangements. We will be adding more arrangements over the next couple weeks so check back as the holiday season begans.

It Is Time For A Change

Over the 4 years that we have been in business we have seen probably some of the biggest changes in the floral industry. Honestly If I knew what I was in store for I defiantly would not of even bothered to invest into this industry. I have and the things that are happening are only getting worse.

Last year something was brought to my attention by another Teleflora member. The owner of the shop notified me that Teleflora had created a web page using our shop name address and phone number. It was explained that this was a way to increase our web presence since our shop no longer had a Teleflora hosted website. Having our own Independitly hosted website, I felt that this type of free advertising would only interfere with our existing search results and perhaps confuse our customers in thinking that they were placing their order on our website. I asked at that time for the website to be removed from the Find A Florist directory except that the site stayed up for 30 days before it was removed from being displayed on the directory.

During that 30 day period I placed an order on the “Free Store Front” and the order was actually sent to another florist that filled and delivered it to my own house. Keep in mind that this could have been one of our own customers that found the website and actually thought that they had placed an order with us.

This practice has been going on for sometime. Over the past 2 years we have seen a change when customers call to place an order with us. We see more questions being asked as to where we are located at and do really have a store with fresh flowers in it and of course looking at our website “is this actually what I am going to get.” In my thinking this misleading of consumers is doing more damage then perhaps we realize. I can understand why more consumers perhaps are giving up not just with using local florist but even ordering on the internet with FTD Teleflora or 1800 Flowers.

More Super Markets and Warehouse retailers are expanding their own floral departments. It is becoming apparent that the consumer is feed up with being mislead and tricked into thinking they are getting something or ordering with someone that isn’t even a real florist.

For sometime now Wesley Berry Flowers has been using florist names on a mock directory that just list Names and address with no real means of contacting the florist. The directories only active links or listed phone numbers are their own linking to their website and providing the Toll Free Number to Wesley Berry Flowers.

It is time for a change. It is time to ask FTD Teleflora and 1800 Flowers that if they continue to allow this type of business practice with Order Gathers. That florist will not do business with them anymore. The consumer does not need these fake middlemen florist that skim orders and provide unprofessional customer service. Every single florist represents this industry and every order that is taken with such disregard by this type of order gatherer reflects on us all as a whole.

The end of the year is less then 30days away. What are you going to do to make the change that is needed? Do you really think that these companies will survive for more than a month or two. Can you imagine what Valentine’s Day 2007 would be like with out any kind of Wire Service or Order Gatherers?

Misleading Florist Directory

The battle continues on for florist to compete against order gatherers on the internet. We are now faced with misleading florist directories that state they will help you locate a florist when the only reason these directories exist is to funuel consumers to an order gather's website. Consumers search the web looking to send flowers everyday and recently a new directory has imergered at http://www.locateaflorist.net/.

This directory list florist names and address but does not list their phone numbers or websites. Instead on the very top of the page it shows links to Wesley Berry Flowers website. Florist all over including a well known Anaheim Florist have complained about this company that continues to mislead consumers in thinking they are sending with a local florist in the area they are sending to. However Wesley Berry Flowers continues to mislead consumers and send there orders using FTD and Teleflora's network. Wesley Berry's Directory has even gone as far to provide a way for florist to remove their listing from the directory but it does not do anything.

Many florist have requested to be removed from this company and have called upon FTD and Teleflora to stop allowing this company to do business this way. They have done nothing but allowed it to continue on and that is why so many florist have been giving our notice to FTD and Teleflora. We have no choice but to remove ourselves from these companies that continue to sign on non florist and nationwide order gatherers.

It is time to end this problem within the industry and I hope that more florist continue to cancel their memberships with the Wire Service companies in protest to these misleading tactics.

Consumers do not need to pay a service fee + delivery fee + inflated flower arrangement price. All they need to do is call their local florist and place their order directly with them.
